We will present a new forum on the theme of women in Chinese cinema, which will feature an in-depth discussion with scholars and guests who have traveled from afar to discuss theories of Chinese cinema and women's roles in the creation, production, and production of films after the screening of Green Night(2023).

This panel discussion brings together scholars from the fields of film studies and gender studies, including Professor Chris Berry, Professor Zhang Hua, Dr. Xintong Jia and other special guests, to broaden the understanding and awareness of Chinese cinema. We hope to invite the audience to examine women's roles both on and off screen, and to explore the strategies of Chinese screen heritage reproduction and curation.
