Synopsis

Sachiko and Ming live together. Perhaps they are a couple. They discuss everyday things, slipping into different roles. They tell each other about their relationship.

Curator’s Note

The two people perform a relationship, either in front of the camera, or by the river, without any development. The experience of alienation extends beyond the surface of the earth. (Zhaoyu Zhu)

Director’s bio

In 1996, CHENG Yu was born in the dormitory of a steel factory in Jinan Province, China. Though attracted by the beautiful world of painting at a very young age, he ended up on the track of cinema in college. He then took a degree in directing at the Beijing Film Academy. He is now an independent filmmaker.
