Synopsis

Cyprien was an actor suffered from the lack of self. He trys to find and show his idendity by turning into a film director, then he suffers from the lack of originality. He commits an imaginary suicide by project himself on his fictional charector.

Currently based in France, director Yuntian Guan immerses audiences in a profound exploration of self and creation through her latest short film, “Both Make Sense”. This engaging piece unravels the intricate relationship between an artist and his craft, following Cyprien—an actor turned director—on a poignant journey to unearth personal identity. Yuntian Guan, lives in France, Apprentis of Les Ateliers du Cinéma Claude Lelouch, film director,scenarist and camera assistan.

Director’s Note

With this film, I try to present the bidirectional influence between the creator and his creation, and the projections of “self” in different levels of realities.
