Mint CFF invites filmmakers from different fields, crossing the fashion, the art, the film and the video-streaming business, to share their distinctive professional experiences, creative developments, and filmmaking motifs.
Audiences' Choice Award Competition
Festival audiences are now a member of Mint Final Judges, allowing them to vote for one of their favourite shorts for awarding the Best Short Film!
This section will showcase five to seven shortlisted films out of almost 400 submissions after the reviews of Mint Young Film Selector and Mint Professional Juries of eight from worldwide Open Call for Shorts.
Panel Discussion: Women’s Representations in ‘Specialised Film’
The panel will foster a dialectical relationship between scholars, critics, curators, spectators, and female images in films by discussing about Anna May Wang' stardom in the age of Silent cinema, representation of 'others,' and Women Characters and Genre. Their open discourses may extend the topics of social issues and ideologies when reflecting on complex film texts.
*The panel is followed by an audience Q&A session.
Outdoor Activity Option: an adventure with Mint tour guides
Friars Crag - a flat walk with our experienced hiking lead and local tour guide, going through the town and the beautiful Hope Park, and along the side of Derwentwater to one of the most spectacular Lakes views there is! (around 40 mins)

Opening Gala
The Mint CFF Opening Gala will start in the afternoon on the 3rd of February: Starting with a drink reception and introduction, followed by the screening of a Chinese silent film, Pan Si Dong, with a live music performance by the Scotland-based musician, Aurora Engine.
